Warmth, quality sole, great value! November 16, 2008 I bought these boots after searching for a warm boot to keep my circulation challenged feet toasty. Having tried on Uggs, and other comparable brands, I found the Warmbat boots to be a much better quality at an even better price. If you are able to get past a "label", these boots deserve a serious look-see. Although the thicker sole makes it a bit clunky to walk in, the traction is excellent and FAR superior to famous name brand competitors. They also include a nice footsole addition to custom fit, plus waterproof spray to boot!! Customer service was a breath of fresh air in a world where it basically doesn't exist. I rave about these boots to all my friends who were "suckered" by the UGGly fashion thieves.
Nice boots October 31, 2008 I bought a pair of Warmbat boots about 2 years ago, it was Gecko short ones. I love them, all winter I was wearing them. Unfortunately no southern California stores carry them, I had to buy them online. Around November last year, when Amazon was selling the tall boots for almost $200, I found one store in Ohio for $129 a pair of black tall gecko, the credit card was charged right away, no items received for another 3 weeks, left plenty of messages, both phone and email. Finally talked to somebody and she promised to send them before Christmas. I received the boots almost Christmas, but very different style, so, instead of a wholesome country girl look, I got the black lace up hooker look. Spent an extra $25 postage returned the boots. So, when I saw that Amazon was selling them on sale price again. I ordered 4 pairs, different color/length. They're indeed, the best boots, I love them.
disappointing experience October 19, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Ordered the boots to be shipped to Holland. As per 'tracking page' the goods were received in Holland depot and then for some strange reason unknown to me, the boots were returned to Amazon. Money was refunded (great) but upon ordering the boots again, they were not in stock anymore. It's a pity, but it has happened....
fantastic October 14, 2008 I absolutely love these boots, they totally rock! I was very pleased with the speedily delivery
i like that they're NOT UGGs, and such a bargain! October 11, 2008 Everyone has UGGs these days, so I'm proud to have a boot named after my favorite animal, and a brand that's more obscure. I haven't worn them outside yet, but they feel great, and don't feel clunky (as another reviewer said) considering the lug sole. It's true that they're more of a mid-calf than a knee high boot.
I typically wear a 6.5 in sandals and 7 in ballet flats, and am planning to wear these boots without socks. So, the women's size 7 is a little loose on me. With the insoles included in the box, the fit is more snug, but my heel still slips a bit. If I weren't lazy, I might try and exchange for the women's size 6. The size 7 is acceptable though.
