did we get a defective pair? October 10, 2008 I ordered these boots for my husband based on the awesome sale price & all the positive reviews it had. The pair we received must be defective or something because all the fuzz seems to be falling out of them & the quality definitely doesn't seem "great" like the other reviewers wrote, in fact they look really oddly shaped, I'm thinking it's got to be a defect. I'm hoping I can send these back for a refund, they're terrible. I got a pair of Warmbats for myself & those are really beautifully crafted and SO comfortable - more $$ than these Staheekums but money well spent.
A bit better than I thought... September 15, 2008 I bought these in black, and yes they do run small. (Not only does the shoe run small, but the width of the calf is small as well.) The black boots are actually entirely black which is a plus. Also, they are really comfortable - after 8-9 wears they are still holding up great. Overall I do give them a good rating, they managed to stretch out enough to be comfortable and they are a nice boot.
Hmmmm.....these boots were only "OK". July 19, 2008 I've purchased and worn a number of sheepskin boots by different manufacturers. The Staheekum is an " ok " boot.....but not the most comfortable nor the longest lasting. I will only buy one kind of Sheepskin boot from here on out.....Warmbats! They are more comfortable, better built and longer lasting. Your feet will love the Warmbats. Sorry Staheekum but your boots just " arent all that".
Women's 10 marked as Men's 10 June 5, 2008 I ordered both a sand and a black men's size 10. The sand was properly sized, the black was tiny--the sole was 3/4" shorter than that of the sand. Return of a defective product netted another tiny black 10. It's pretty clear that they have a warehouse full of improperly labelled black size 10's, and that nobody at Amazon reviews the customer comments about an order.
Sheepskin boots February 13, 2008 The boots are well made, and quite comfortable. My only complaint is that I looked everywhere to find a boot made in the USA; and after reading their glowing description of being made in the High Mountain valley next to a stream, and from a company called the Washington Shoe Co, I was very disapointed to find a made in China label inxide the boots. No where in their add did they mention this fact. So even though the boots are well made, I wouldn't have bought them if I had known.
