Product Description These Elian dress loafers from Taryn Rose are a must-have for the well dressed man. Smooth leather upper in a dress slip-on loafer style with a round apron toe. Dual elastic goring for a great fit with subtle stitching along edges. Leather lining. Poron(R) padded and leather lined footbed for optimal comfort. Dress style midsole. Smooth leather outsole.
Product Description No superfluous bells and whistles mar the sleek and sophisticated look of Taryn Rose's Elian loafer. This dressy slip-on won't fail to impress alongside business suiting and finer khakis with its high quality leather construction, classic rounded toe, and vamp goring. A modest heel lends stature, while a leather outsole completes its refined silhouette.

| Customer Reviews:
Great classic style slip-on, comfortable with designer details December 11, 2008 I've had these shoes for about 6 months or so, and I love them. They are by far the best shoes I've ever owned. First, I'd like to note that the designer, Taryn Rose, is an orthopedic surgeon, and her shoes are hand-sewn in Italy. I never realized what the hype is about designer shoes until I owned this pair. I don't feel like I paid so much just for the Taryn Rose name but instead for the quality and craftsmanship of this shoe.
This is a very comfortable shoe with a classic style. I've walked for miles in it without pain or blisters. It's a great dress shoe to wear with a suit, but also looks great with a pair of jeans. It's very versatile and transitions well between the workday and a casual night out.
The first thing I noticed was that the leather upper is very soft to the touch. I like that the shoe gives my foot a nice shape, not too bulbous but not too pointy. This shoe fits true to size on me.
I was a little worried that because the back of the shoe isn't padded at the top--which has caused other shoes to rub against my achilles tendon until I get a blister--but this shoe is well-designed and never rubs against my foot or heel. I have an average foot shape and the vamp is comfortable across the top of my foot, it's not too tight that it hurts and not too loose that it falls off my foot. There is a little piece of elastic on the upper that allows flexibility as I'm walking or putting on/taking off the shoe, but the elastic isn't conspicuous or out of place, it fits right in with the design.
The sole is leather, so it can be slippery on slick surfaces for a little while until the bottom gets scuffed enough to provide better traction. Of course this is an issue with many new shoes with leather soles and is not specific to this particular shoe. The sole is a soft leather that occasionally picks up small stones; this happened more in the first couple of weeks with the shoes than it does now that I've been wearing them for a couple of months. This is also just a property of a soft leather sole and is not that big of a deal to me. Overall, I love the shoe and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quality, classically styled dress shoe.
