This is the quintessential split-toe, "Algonquin," look, with just the right amount of point at the toe (not those blunt instruments popular in some circles). The leather is beautiful and soft, helping to make these shoes comfortable right out of the box, and the padded insole keeps them feeling that way all day long. The size runs right on (at least for me). No need to go longer or shorter. The rubber sole is practical and unobtrusive--and similar to the rubber sole on Algonquins costing three times as much. Although made in China, these J/Ms remind me of the days when they were US made--a quality shoe at a reasonable price.
