"crispy" describes these sheets well December 9, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Apparently not all 500 thread count pima sheets are equal.
We bought these sheets expecting the same level of softness as our other set of 500 thread count pima sheets but, after washing them according to instructions, these sheets feel more "crispy" than anything (reminds me of over-starched shirts ... and this is after washing).
The lint-screen was pretty clean and the weave is very dense so I don't doubt the quality is high, but they just doesn't have that supple softness we were hoping for. We wash our other sheets the same way and it continues to be baby-skin soft.
I'm sure they'll last a long time, and I can only hope they'll eventually soften from sheer wear and tear.
