Loved it - January 6, 2009
I loved the boot - fashionable, good value. It was just too small. I tend to wear socks with my boots for additional warmth and there was not smidgeon of room to do so. You will love them too if you go up a size.
 Cute Boot, Poor Fit December 23, 2008
The Clarks Smitten boot looks really cute and the heal height is perfect. However there's no padding for the ball of your feet and it's hard to slip on. Since it's meant to be worn close to the ankle/lower calf when zipped, the boot curves in just above the heel below the lower calf. This makes it a tight fit to slip your feet in, and I have normal width feet. I normally wear a 6.5M in Clarks and all the other shoes and boots that I've purchased from Clarks fit perfectly. I walked around on the carpet for a while and it felt really uncomfortable, the leather at the top where it hits the lower calf was really hard and did not flex like my other boots. I couldn't convince myself to keep these just because they were cute since they felt so uncomfortable.

Totally comfortable - gliding comfort, the right heel size, perfect size fit, super style - the curved heel, the boot upper texture, plain lines, the inside of the shoe and the shaft is a soft lovely paisley print cloth! There is nothing like CLARKS for feet! These are my first pair of black boots and it cudn't get any better!

I purchased these boots in black to have a something with a feminine look for the fall but yet sturdy enough to endure the amount of walking and standing that I do. These boots are perfect! I have received plenty of compliments on them and they look good with office professional-type slacks. I have also walked a number of city blocks in 30-degree temps and my feet didn't get cold or tired.
I would buy these again in brown.
