Awesome shoes!!!! October 12, 2008 Awesome shoes. Very cushion and good stability. Very narrow in the hell and wide in the forefoot, but excelent quality shoes. This is my first Saucony of many more.
A great show still available September 15, 2008 It seems every time I find a great shoe, a year later it is gone. This is probably the last pair of Hurricane 9s I'll ever be able to buy, I'm glad I was able to get this pair. Service was also great, they got here days before they were supposed to. Thanks
NEARLY ENDED MY RUNNING CAREER August 3, 2008 1 out of 6 found this review helpful
Let me preface this review by saying that I only take the time to submit reviews when I feel very strongly one way or the other about a product.
Started training for my first marathon and was advised by the local running store that the Hurricane was the shoe for me. The longer my training runs went, the more pain I was experiencing. As a tune up for the main marathon I ran a 1/2 marathon and I was in so much pain I was nearly crying. Went to a really well known running doctor (who also runs marathons and Ultra's) in Southern California and he advised that not only was the Hurricane NOT the shoe for me....but that very few people can successfully wear it pain-free. It feels like a brick on your foot, and at the time I would have SWORN that permanent damage was done to my feet, ankles and IT bands. Ended up running (and completing) the full marathon in Brooks' Glycerin 5 w/custom inserts, and now am training for my first triathlon where I will be using Saucony Triumph 5 w/custom inserts. The real story here: MAKE SURE YOUR RUNNING STORE KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING.

Comfortable shoe March 2, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've had really good luck with the fit on Saucony's. Especially when new they give incredible cushoning, though they probably wear out a little fast in terms of cushioning (400 miles or so).
