Wet feet in Pelotas? It's right ! December 20, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was actually satisfied by my Camper shoes... until I decided to buy a new pair of Pelotas. You can believe me, I was really excited to try my new ones and I wanted to wear them also in my office at work. But already on the first day, I had a very bad surprise: the weather was rainy and I get wet feet in my brand new shoes! "Ok, this is surely a quality problem", I thought. I send the shoes back to Spain. After ten days I get a call from a Camper employee with a strong Spanish accent. You won't guess what she told me: "Your shoes have no quality problem; these shoes are leather shoes and are not waterproof (?!); if you had asked us before you bought them, you would have known it; we send you the shoes back!" No, it was not a bad scenario for a bad movie: this was the reality. Of course I didn't agree: honestly do you ask if your feet will keep dry when you walk on wet streets if you buy leather shoes for more than 100 dollars? If not, as of today you should. I could not understand. I told her that I already bought Pelotas for a few years ago and that I didn't get wet feet. But I had no time to say something else. She simply hung up! Upset I called back and asked to speak with the manager of the call-centre. I heard him telling in the background he did not want to speak with me. To be honest I could not imagine before, that a customer service could be so hostile towards customers! What for a sad experience! So I have to wear my heavy big black shoes in the summer on sunny days. You can be sure I personally won't buy Camper shoes anymore. I don't recommend you to buy some: there are plenty of other comfortable expensive leather shoes... which will keep your feet dry even if it's raining outside!
